Connect to Cloud Desktop from a Windows PC using the Azure

The Azure Virtual Desktop Preview app lets you use your cloud desktop and apps through the internet. This guide will help you connect to your work space with the Windows app, following steps your workplace tech team has set up for you.

Start off by getting the App

  1. Select Install/Get to start downloading the app and installing it.

  2. Once the app has finished downloading and installing, select Open. The first time the app runs, it will install the Azure Virtual Desktop (HostApp) dependency automatically.

Subscribe to a Workspace in the App

  1. Open the App by selecting Open, or by using the Start Menu > Azure Virtual Desktop App (Preview)

  2. Select the triple dots at the top right, and Subscribe, or simply enter your work email when prompted

  3. To simplify, right click on the Cloud Desktop or Session Desktop, and Pin to Start Menu

  4. Multi-Factor authenticate, and connect to your desktop
