Open Microsoft Edge: Start by launching the Edge browser on your computer.
Access the Menu: In the top-right corner of the Edge window, you'll see three horizontal dots (...). Click on these dots to open the browser's main menu.
Navigate to Settings: From the drop-down menu, select Settings. This is where you can adjust various aspects of the Edge browser to your liking.
Go to Default Browser Settings: Within the Settings, locate and click on 'Default browser'. This section allows you to manage how Edge handles different web pages and compatibility settings.
Enable IE Mode: Look for the option labelled 'Internet Explorer compatibility'. Here, you will find a setting that allows you to 'Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode'. Turn this option on to enable IE compatibility mode.
Restart Edge: After changing this setting, Edge may prompt you to restart the browser for the changes to take effect. Close and reopen Edge to complete the process.
Using IE Mode: Once IE mode is enabled, you can reload any website in Internet Explorer mode by clicking on the three dots in the browser's top-right corner and selecting 'Reload in Internet Explorer mode' from the menu. Toggle "Open this page in Internet Explorer mode next time" to remember this preference.
Enjoy the Compatibility: With IE mode enabled, Edge can now access websites that were designed for older web standards, ensuring better compatibility with legacy websites.
