Notes for Bookkeeping

  • These categories align with how Microsoft Azure, Microsoft services, and third-party offerings are typically organized (Storage, Compute, Microsoft Services, Other Services, etc.).

  • Each item reflects a type of service that may appear on invoices, with descriptions applicable across regions or usage scenarios.

  • Pricing is excluded here; refer to specific invoices for costs, subtotals, and taxes (e.g., GST/PST) to allocate across these categories.

  • Map these categories to your accounting system’s chart of accounts (e.g., “IT Expenses,” “Software Subscriptions,” etc.) as needed.
